About Us
Meet our Family
My name is Christi Morais. My husband Daniel & I have 3 children. Braidan, Aliyah & Edan who are our number one joy & responsibility. We are raising our family in Mendon, MA in a 1820's farm house that we have been renovating since 2017. We share our home with our 2 Australian Labradoodles, Ruffy & Gracie.
Family Dogs from Day One
Our puppies are born in our home & live as a part of our family until they are ready to join yours! We expose them to all the sights and sounds of busy family life. Before they go home they meet many of our friends and family, other pets, travel in our car, play outdoors, visit the veterinarian, experience grooming & much more! Our goal is that all of our dogs grow up to be mentally, physically and emotionally healthy so that they can be active members of their families for many years.
We raise our dogs according to AviDog's Transformational Puppy Rearing method.
Health Testing
One of the benefits of purchasing an Australian Labradoodle is the required health testing of our Breed Club. The Australian Labradoodle Association of America requires that our breeding dogs are tested for hip dysplasia through an OFA and any eye abnormalities through a CERF test preformed by an eye ophthalmologist. Each breeding Dam and Sire are tested for Patellar Luxation and Cardiovascular Abnormalities by a certified veterinarian. Finally, they are cleared of any affections for EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse), DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), vWill (von Willebrand's Disease), IC (Hair Coat Furnishings), and PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy).
Australian Labradoodles Bloodlines
Australian Labradoodles are unique to Labradoodles because of their multigenerational bloodlines. Our dogs pedigrees can be traced back to the founders of the Australian Labradoodle, Rutland Manor & Tegan Park.
Australian Labradoodles are wonderful, intelligent dogs with lush coats that are more reliably low to non-shedding and allergy friendly than other types of Labradoodles such as first generation Lab/Poodle crosses, or first generation crosses bred back to Poodles. Even when the other types of Labradoodles are bred on for generations, the result is not an Australian Labradoodle, as the attributes of the infused breeds were not included in their ancestry.
Low to Non-Shedding & Allergy Friendly
While their is no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog, Australian Labradoodles are known to about as allergy friendly as you can get! Many allergy sufferers (my son included) are living happily with Australian Labradoodles. If you suffer from asthma or allergies we welcome you to spend some time with our dogs to ensure that it is a good fit for you & your family.
A Furever Friend
Australian Labradoodles are famous for their affectionate, happy go lucky personalities. They bond deeply with their families but are also happy to meet new people!
They strike a great balance between play & rest. They love to play ball in the yard or go for a hike but they can also spend a day lounging in house with the family!
